As the name suggests, QuickTime Alternative is a Rip from the QuickTime codec pack out. And Real Alternative is similar to a codec pack installed, you can make some of the mainstream media player to support playback of QuickTime files without having to install QuickTime. QuickTime Alternative Lite is a version of Media Player Classic without the QuickTime Alternative.
