Apple's new patents - Monitor part-time camera

Apple today was awarded a number of patents, a patent which allows display "part-time" cameras. According to Apple's patent application document, the display of each pixel "with" with a fixed focal length or zoom lens of the imaging unit. This display can be used not only the traditional display, you can shoot in front of the object - for example, the user's face. This display is the simplest use of the "digital mirror."

This display with the face recognition software can be used in security systems, including the parents of a child using a computer control system.

This patent is not limited to computer monitors. Apple said that cell phones and other handheld devices "for display space is limited, the province of camera space will contribute to product design." The patent also describes the pixels used for light source technology.
